The Schneider Electric (Square D) 9050JCK27V20 DPDT Time Delay Relay which uses HVAC systems by adding time delays before circuit activation or deactivation. The relay starts a timed period after receiving 120VAC which can be adjusted from 0.3 seconds to 30 minutes before its double pole double throw contacts modify their state. The relay delays circuit changes up to thirty minutes before contact state modifications which helps stop high-load equipment from starting at once protecting electrical systems against power surges.
