Description
The Robertshaw 720-402 is a 24V combination gas valve compatible with both natural gas and Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas. It functions as the central regulator for gas flow in gas-fired furnaces and boilers. Typically measuring 12 inches long with 3/4 inch diameter connections, this valve utilizes a 24-volt electrical signal to control gas flow and features a manual shut-off option for safety. The 40°F to 175°F operating temperature range allows for functionality in most environments. This valve offers the benefit of universal compatibility with 50/60Hz electrical grids and can be converted between natural gas and LP gas use with the included conversion kit, making it a versatile replacement part for various HVAC systems. However, due to the critical nature of gas safety, it should always be installed by a qualified technician.
