Description
The MARS 11918 Round Motor Start Capacitor is an electrical component in HVAC systems to give high initial torque to electric motors. It works by storing and releasing electrical energy temporarily at the start of the motor to assist the compressors and blower to operate smoothly and efficiently. It is placed by mounting the capacitor in the control compartment of the equipment and by connecting the terminals in wiring diagrams and safety regulations. Having a capacitance of 233-292 microfarads at 125 VAC, this capacitor can be used to achieve better starting, as well as to reduce the load on motors.
