Description
The Cleveland Controls AFS-271 Air flow switch is used to measure air flow in HVAC systems. This SPDT switch functions to turn on or off an electrical circuit depending on the presence or absence of airflow and functions within a pressure range of 0.05″-2.0” WC. This functionality is essential for ventilation control, protection of equipment from failure of fans and energy consumption. Advantages include increased system effectiveness, safety from problems such as overheating, and energy conservation because, HVAC equipment runs only when airflow is detected. It is used in air handlers, duct work and other ventilation systems.
