The Rheem-Ruud RXQJ-A05J 5kW Electric Heater Kit has been developed for installation into air handlers and electric furnaces in selected Rheem-Ruud HVAC systems. Applications could be for light commercial and home additional heating at 5kW output. Heater kits normally use electric heating elements whereby the power passed through elements generates heat. This gained heat is then redistributed through the air handler or the furnace blower in order to heat the different parts of the structure. It is usually installed inside the furnace enclosure or the air handler so as to improve the system’s heating capacity in winter. The heater provides efficient, reliable heating performance with temperature control, while response times are generally short.
