Description
The International Comfort Products 1005260 Vent Pressure Switch observes the negative pressure generated by the draft inducer motor inside gas-fired furnaces, closing its electrical contacts only after confirming the flue pathway in HVAC systems. A small rubber tube connects the switch’s diaphragm port directly to the actuator housing. When the fan establishes sufficient suction, it deflects and completes the low-voltage circuit that permits the control board to proceed toward burner lighting. Wired into the ignition sequence at the ionizer assembly within the heat exchanger cabinet, it fixes the existing unit by reconnecting two quick-connect terminals and reattaching the sensing tube.
