The Carrier EF17BZ271 Reversing Valve is an essential part of HVAC equipment such as heat pumps. This is a 6.9″ long and wide, 3.25″ high key component, that runs on a 24 volt electrical signal. The Carrier is a device that reverses the flow of refrigerant inside your Carrier heat pump. During heating mode, it directs warm refrigerant over to the indoor unit to provide heat. The valve will flip to cooling mode, sending cool refrigerant back inside to air condition. Efficient heat pump operation requires this directional control.
